This glove is machine washable and its tough exterior forms a thermal isolation barrier slowing the temperature increase in the soft double-knit cotton interior layer. When exposed to an open flame the outer layer of the glove does not catch fire or melt. The maximum surface temperature it can handle is 540 degrees F.
